Grooms Cakes

Grooms cakes are all the rage these days. Originally a Southern tradition, these cakes are garnerning just as much attention and detail as the wedding cake.

Grooms cakes are usually custom designed cakes reflecting one of the groom's favorite foods, sports or hobbies. You may see such recreations as a such as a mug of beer or their favorite car- but the most popular grooms cake would have to be the "Armadillo Cake" from Steel Magnolias.

While some couples opt to serve the grooms cake at the rehearsal dinner, most display and serve the cake alongside the wedding cake. A grooms cake is a great way to make the groom feel "included" in the whole wedding planning, and he gets to have his cake and eat it too!
